 Foams
This
is the arm and body components of a goaltenders equipment.
The arm and body covers the chest and stomach area as well
as the arms as the name implies. This product is made
completely with foam, both LD and HD and can withstand great
impact. Therefore it reduces the energy of the puck which
results in smaller rebounds and less impact to the
goaltenders body. To some goaltenders this part of their
equipment is the most valuable. It protects a large area and
therefore gets hit the most.
Another type of
foam commonly used for high impact areas in goaltenders
equipment is HD foam. This is High Density foam which makes
for great protection. The downside of using this type of
foam in goaltenders equipment is that it gives large
rebounds. which goaltenders like to be able to control as
much as possible.
